Choose where files are saved

Worth setting once if you save a lot of videos. Find the line for your browser; the rest do not apply.

By browser:

    Firefox: open Settings, then General, and set the download folder under Files and Applications.

    Any of them: turn on the option to ask where to save each file, and the browser opens a save dialog every time instead.

The ask-first option is the useful one here. TikTok filenames are long strings of digits, and the save dialog is your chance to give the file a name you will recognise later.
